New beginnings, old temptations.

"There is no more steely barb than that of the Infinite." -Charles Baudelaire

"For every moment of triumph, for every instance of beauty, many souls must be trampled." -Hunter S. Thompson

I've decided that perhaps my nearly 9 month hiatus from writing should come to an end. I've been reading a lot to make up for my lapse, but thanks to an abundance of free time, and a cordial group of men I meet a few times a week at my AA meetings in Freehold, I think its time I get things back together.

A few thoughts...

- Recently finished reading "The Renegade" by Albert Camus. One of my favorite reads in a long time. Something about tongueless fetish-crazed ex-missionaries gets me all tingly inside.

- Also finished the leatherstocking tales by James Fenimore Cooper. I kind of said I had to do it someday, and overall, I really wasn't impressed. However, the arguement that ensued after reading it (Who would win in a cage match, Master Chief from Halo or Natty Bumpo?) was interesting.

- The Chariot live show at School of Rock in Hackensack- the best live show I've seen to date. Nothing beats watching a band destroy more than half there stage equipment.

- In Rainbows for sale in stores? wtf?!?!?!?!

- Car for sale- 1990 Chevrolet Camaro RS 3.1 V6, black hard top, SLP cold air intake, 2.5" Borla stainless steel exhaust, American Racing Billet Chrome Rims, Z-28 body kit, black, auto tranny, very little rust in all the usual spots, slight damage to nose of car. Runs, no door sag, good on gas, $700 OBO. TRUE MILEAGE UNKNOWN.
